As a young buyer, my first experience with real estate was a very messy one. The first property I was under contract with was a short sale, and after six months of waiting on the seller’s bank, I ended up walking away. With the lease up on my apartment and no back-up plan, terminating the short sale contract was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done; but Shelly was right there by my side the whole way through. I am confident that nobody would have fought harder for me than she did. The day after we exited the contract, Shelly was already lining up new homes for me to see, taking it in stride when I changed my mind and decided I wanted to live in a row home in the city rather than a single family home in the county. Shelly redefines the term “full service agent.” She coordinated everything and was in constant contact with not only me, but everyone else involved. I decided to go with my mortgage lender and home inspector on Shelly’s recommendation, and could not have had a better experience. In the end, I found the perfect home for me, and I was shocked at how smooth the process was after that. I figured it was too easy, there had to be a catch, but Shelly patiently answered my endless stream of questions until I was reassured that the home buying process could actually be that simple when you have a great agent. I have been living in my new house for about 3 months now and I couldn’t be happier. Shelly made what could have been a disastrous situation into one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This experience has been life changing for me, and it never would have happened without Shelly German.
